Even though the donut challenge was fun, the argumentative writing is the important thing. To make sure all students can write an argumentative essay successfully, Mrs. Gubler has arranged for me and the other 2 7th LA teachers to have subs Tuesday so we can conference with each student about their essay. So I hope those who don't have theirs finished will hurry and do so; that way we can conference about the finished product and not just a work-in-progress.
Remember students, the Super Hero essay is an important assignment; it's one of our major essays/skills required, it's our 5th Common Formative Assessment, and it's really great prep for the SAGE writing test that will be in the next few weeks.
Also, i-Read #1 is due Monday!!!! This week we'll also be going to the library, reading and writing, and compiling some class Super Hero stats. All-in-all, it will be a fun week before we all take off for Spring Break!!
